Who can ship with Freightjoy ?
Freightjoy is happy to work with any size company. Our specialty is handling inbound logistics into Amazon FBA Locations , but we can service shipments going to other non-Amazon destinations.
How can an Amazon seller get their product delivered to FBA location faster ?
Freightjoy uses dedicated trucks to haul your merchandise to Amazon FBA. The freight does not come off the trailer or go through multiple terminals. The system was built specifically for Amazon FBA Sellers.
What do I need to do to hire Freightjoy to haul a shipment.

My Company Sells Directly to Amazon via Vendor Central & also sells as a 3P Merchant under Amazon Sellercentral, can I combine these shipments on the same truck?

Can you ship pallets directly from our Supplier or Prep Company to Amazon?
Yes, this is no problem and we often ship direct from manufacturers, 3PL , and Prep Centers into Amazon FBA Locations either pallet shipments or full trucklooads. We will coordinate with your supplier and educate them and you every step of the way regarding making sure the shipment meets all of the Amazon inbound requirements for pallet or truckload shipments.
When we ship via Amazon Partner Carrier our shipments take 2-3 weeks to deliver to Amazon, how is Freightjoy Faster?
When you use an Amazon Partner Carrier it normally takes 2-3 days to get the Bill of Lading, and then possibly another day for truck to make pickup at your shipping location. After the partner carrier makes the pickup it may take them 2-3 days in transit as they go through multiple terminals and unloaded and reloaded onto multiple trailers to get your freight to their location nearest the Amazon fulfillment center. After the trailer gets to the carrier terminal they ‘trap’ all the Amazon shipments going to the same fulfillment center onto a trailer. The partner carrier then waits for the trailer to get full before they make delivery to the Amazon Fulfillment location. Freightjoy normally uses exclusive trucks which will go from your shipper direct to the Amazon location. You do not need to wait days to get the Bill of Lading, as Freightjoy immediately prepares all the shipping documents as soon as the carrier selection is finalized. You know the date and time your shipment will deliver before the truck arrives to pickup.
We normally ship via UPS or FedEx Ground Parcel, can we still use Freightjoy?
Although we do not offer domestic parcel service, we have found that many shippers have plenty of volume to switch over from shipping via UPS parcel, or Amazon partner parcel to shipping via Freightjoy pallet or truckload. If you are shipping via parcel to Amazon FBA because of the speed to get your product checked in and able to be sold, Freightjoy can actually get your inventory there faster than a parcel carrier, and with a more reliable speed because you will know the exact delivery time before the shipment leaves your location. We can coordinate directly with your company to setup a daily , weekly, or ‘on demand’ shipping schedule that works within your workflow.
What is the minimum shipment size to use Freightjoy shipping?
You can actually ship an order as small as a single case for expedited delivery. We offer residential pickup and ‘white glove’ service as well. Normally it makes sense to consider Freightjoy when you are shipping at least 20+ Cases per week inbound into Amazon. We understand that every big company started out as a small company, so we value customers of all sizes and want to work with you to help you grow your business.
Can I ship to multiple Amazon Fulfillment centers on the same truck ?
It is often possible to ship to multiple Amazon fulfillment centers on the same truckload. We would coordinate this either as multiple stops, or we would do a cross-dock and put part of the shipment onto another truck go to the other fulfillment center. If you get Freightjoy involved while you are creating your inbound shipping plans, we can provide best practices and guidance on how you get to pick the Amazon Fulfillment Centers that are most advantageous to you.
When I ship via Amazon Partner, Amazon reimburses for shortages. Does Freightjoy reimburse us also?
If you are an Amazon marketplace seller using FBA, you are likely aware that Amazon can sometimes misplace product. Freightjoy has training on best practices to assure your shipment has the best possible chance of being received by Amazon in correct quantity. If you find out your shipment was received as a shortage, Freightjoy will provide the signed Bill of Lading, which is what you need to reconcile your shipment within Sellercentral (along with merchandise invoice). We have found that there is no difference in the process or results of reconciliation cases for Amazon partner shipments vs. Freightjoy shipments, they are all handled the same in reconciliation. We have had over 100 non-partner shipemts reconciled via sellercentral without isssue. The stamped Bill of Lading showing delivery at Amazon has been an acceptable method of proof of delivery for reconciliation.
Is my shipment insured while in transit?
Your Freightjoy shipment is covered by cargo insurance by the delivering motor carrier. Freightjoy confirms; that all motor carriers utilized carry a minimum of $100,000 of cargo insurance. Because Freightjoy shipments normally stay on the same trailer from time of pickup to delivery, there is much less risk of cargo damage vs. traditional LTL shipments which are loaded and unloaded on multiple trailers during the trip. If your shipment incurs loss or damage while in transit, Freightjoy will assist in filing your cargo claim with the motor carrier. Additionally you may purchase Shippers Interest Cargo insurance at time of shipment to assure all risk coverage of your shipment. Most LTL carriers, including Amazon Partner carriers provide released value cargo coverage which is less than the actual value of your merchandise. As a Freightjoy client, you will be able to take advantage of educational training which includes cargo damage and insurance coverage. Freightjoy has technology which will tell you the exact retail value of your merchandise when shipping, including what your actual payout would be when all items sell. This additional data can assist in your knowledge of the value of the product you are shipping.
I am located outside the United States, what is the best way for me to shipment import product to Amazon FBA?
Freightjoy will coordinate with your freight forwarder to make the final delivery from the port or deconsolidation center into the Amazon FBA location. We suggest that you always have your inbound shipment created before you ship your product to USA , so you can identify which the nearest port is. You simply give us the shipment ID, as well as the details to who is your freight forwarder , and we will arrange the final delivery to Amazon FBA location.
Do I need to provide you access to our Sellercentral Account to ship with Freightjoy?
If you wish to give us limited access to your sellercentral account, that is fine, but it isn’t required at this time. For each shipment we need to know the pallet qnty, carton qnty, item qnty, and shipment weight. We also need to know the Shipment ID & Amazon Reference ID. We can accept this information in whatever form you wish to provide, with filling in an online document normally being the easiest method. After you have your shipment complete in Sellercentral and provide us the shipping information you should mark the shipment as “Less than truckload” shipping method and “other carrier” , then you complete the shipment in Sellercentral and mark the PRO and BOL number with same number as the shipment ID.
